The Poponi farm was founded in 1920, when the young Francesco Poponi with his wife Clorinda decided to leave the countryside of Sismano to get closer to the city of Todi and bought the land on the slopes of the southern slope of the hill.
In the following years with his sons Umberto and Giuseppe contributed to supplying part of the city with vegetables, wine, fresh milk and meats; Santino was the last milkman of Todi with his brother Luigi. 30 years ago the only daughter Romina became the owner. She gives birth to the farm.

The challenge of the new generations
Today the younger LEONARDO, a lover of the agricultural world and traditions, continues the work of his great-grandparents.
On the farm are grown vegetables according to the season (potatoes, tomatoes, aubergines, salads), fruit (apples, pears, strawberries, grapes), walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cereals, fodder and cattle (CHIANINA), sheep, animals courtyard.
It produces extra virgin oil used to prepare the dishes in the restaurant, eggs from free-range hens.
